Goosebumps

In my own free time, the first I remember reading on a regular basis was when I was about 10 years old, I started and completed the Goosebumps series by RL Stine. I often finished one book a night. This really got me interested in reading but it also helped me start to understand story plots, twists and suspense. I still have the entire collection but they are so old now the bumps on the cover are all nearly worn off.

  1. I remember reading Goosebumps and Where the Wild Things Are, when I was a child. My favorite book that I would beg to have my mom read was Good Night Little Rabbit.
I know you said going to the local news store with your dad was special to you, but if you had gone to the local news store without your dad, how drastically would that have changed your experiences with literacy?
